#TBT to a winter #fishing trip early in 1935, when Eddie suffered nearly fatal hypothermia. He returned home determined to develop a better form of cold-weather outerwear. Using goose down for insulation, he created a prototype that he called the Blizzard Proof Jacket, later renamed the #Skyliner. It became the first down jacket patented in America.
