Shahad, 11, stands with her 8-year-old sister Kinda outside the migration centre near Gevgelija, former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, after crossing the border with Greece. The girls and their family fled violence in their hometown of Deraa, #Syria and are now seeking refuge in Europe. Shahad wants to be an architect when she grows up. “I miss my house,” she says. ”I want to build beautiful homes just like it when I am older”.
