Kitesurfing with @Waterlust

About the Shot: We got to go #kitesurfing in some secret spots around the Turks and Caicos. The water there is insanely beautiful and the coastline is covered with shipwrecks! Kiting is one of our favorite ways to explore new coastlines as you can cover a lot of distance in a short amount of time while having the versatility to get up close to cool stuff.
How the Shot was Captured: We were testing a new homemade mount on this trip that would make it easier to shoot handsfree while kiting and #surfing. We took a standard snorkel and cut the top off so that only the mouth piece remained. We then bolted a tripod mount to it and viola, we had a mounting solution that allowed the rider to hold the camera securely in his or her mouth comfortably. An added benefit of the snorkel is that you can breathe easily through the tube while using it. Only downside is that you’ll sound like Darth Vader on the audio! The camera was shooting in our favorite setup for high action shots, 0.5 second interval 12 MP photos with Protune on, ISO 400, White Balance: Auto, GoPro Color, Sharpness: Low. #gopro
