Photographer @janefultonalt went to New Orleans in the aftermath of Hurricane #Katrina to volunteer her skills as a clinical social worker on a team of mental health professionals. While there, she felt the need to do more, she says. “I decided to photograph what I was seeing, with the hope of helping in a more concrete way by giving others visual access to my experience.” In the 10 years since, she has continued to return to the Lower Ninth Ward, with her latest series depicting the area at night during 2013 and 2015.
