#flashbackfriday to meeting these incredible and inspiring women as part of my trip to Zambia in 2006 as UNAIDS Goodwill Ambassador.
We've come a very long way: in 2000, approximately only 700,000 people globally were on antiretroviral treatment. Today, 15 million people have access to them.

But young people, especially young women, continue to be disproportionately affected by HIV. Last year, there were 3.9 million young people aged between 15 and 24 years living with HIV and 620,000 became newly infected.
