When you’re creating something, you tend to erect blinders. That’s why outside opinion is important — particularly when it’s coming from someone who knows exactly who you are and how you operate. “We’re close enough that if I’m working on something that she doesn’t like, she’ll just tell me,” says audio-visual artist Brandon Locher (@brandonlocher), of his sister and photographer, Olivia (@olivialocher). Even when they’re working on two different projects, the goal is the same: produce something completely different from their earlier work. “I feel like the challenge of the art is just to not repeat yourself,” says Brandon. “And then hopefully your audience will follow you.” For more on Brandon’s music and drawings, head to @brandonlocher.
