“I have been learning to play the guitar for four years, and I sing in al-Sununu, the only choral in Gaza. During the war, I played music and sung to calm my siblings and myself when we heard the loud sound of explosions, or fighter planes and drones hovering in the sky. This year I am moving to Sweden to join my dad who has been there for two years. I am sad to leave because there are good people in Gaza and I will miss them. At the same time it makes me happy because I feel that only by leaving Gaza can I realize my dream of becoming a famous musician.
