This was followed by Brian De Palma's first feature, 'The Wedding Party.' 'And there were many years of not doing anything,' he once said. 'You know, going out on auditions. All that. After that, I didn't want to act for a while, because. . .I was afraid that I would get wrapped up in it so much that I wouldn't have time to do what I wanted, like travel. Travel around Europe, which I did. So I spent a few years doing that, hitchhiking around Europe. Lived in Paris for a while. And then when I came back, I didn't do anything for a year or two.
