The reason I believe in magic: ELEPHANTS. The largest #vegan on the planet and also the most emotionally "human". Ellie's are highly social animals...They hold greeting ceremonies when a friend returns to the herd & they are the only other known species that mourns death with funeral rituals. Each one is like us, a unique individual with its own unique personality. They weep, experience joy, & are fiercely loyal. Also, when they swim longer distances, they use their trunks as periscopes! Is that not the dopest shit you've ever heard??! Magic, man.

In honor of #WorldElephantDay, let's speak up for our wild elefriends who are threatened by poaching and let's help alleviate the pain from those who are stuck in captivity. Here's how you can help:

1. Boycott animal acts in circuses. 2. Support legislation that bans ivory and the use of bull hooks. 3. Be a humane traveler. Don't partake in elephant rides when traveling abroad. Those animals are being exploited and often suffer from cruel handling and lack of proper vet care. 4. Visit hsi.org to take action- sign a pledge and/or donate to protect wildlife. 5.
