Known as the largest populated city of NJ and one of the top cities with highest crime rate. Although I grew up across one of the biggest projects where u could find drugs, prostitution, gang wars, my parents made our small apartment a safe haven. We didn't leave til I was 18 , I survived the environment that surrounded me, refusing to become another statistic that was surely against me. But let me shed some light on this "dangerous city" which has brought u some household names, born & straight out of Newark: Queen Latifah, Whitney Houston, Ice-T, Taye Diggs, Joe Peci, Shaquille O'Neal, Keisha Night, Paul Simon, Ian Ziering (90210) , Ray Liotta, Jason Alexander, & many others.
