I recently learned that every day, 1,400 kids die from water-related illnesses before they reach their fifth birthday.
Many of us have no idea what it's like to be thirsty. We have plenty of water to drink, but diseases from unsafe water and lack of basic sanitation kill more people every year than all forms of violence, including war.
Today is my 34th birthday and I don't want gifts. I just want to bring clean water to people in need around the world. $30 can bring clean water to one person and water changes more than just health. Kids spend more time in school getting an education and women have more time to spend with their families or start small businesses.
I'm asking for my age in dollars, and everything makes an impact. @charitywater will use 100% of everything raised directly to fund clean water projects and when the work is done they'll show us the exact community we impacted with GPS coordinates and photos.
