A rare #bluemoon appeared last Friday night and @heatwaves.australia was on hand to capture this incredible shot from North #Bondi's Ben Buckler Point in #Sydney. A lunar event, the blue moon occurs when two full moons are squeezed into a calendar month, which only happens once every three years. As you can see from this shot, the moon isn't actually blue, it's just a rare sight to see... hence the term "Once in a Blue Moon"
