A visitor to #Faro, a small island in #Sweden with only about 550 year-round residents, will drive past flocks of sheep and fields of sculptural rauker — limestone formations eroded into fantastical shapes over millenniums. The island is home to the Bergman Center, a museum dedicated to Ingmar Bergman, who lived and worked on the island for the last 40 years of his life. While visiting for a @nytimestravel story, @jamessilvermanphoto photographed this re-enactment of a scene from an Ingmar Bergman film. This #nytweekender, we've been following @nytimestravel around the globe. Still feeling #wanderlust? Follow @nytimestravel.
