“I spend most of my day over the summer break from school helping my father in making and selling Qatayef, a special sweet served during the holy month of Ramadan. I am happy to help my father and proud that he is counting on me more and more. We have a big family and we are close to each other; I love Ramadan because it brings us all together around Iftar. I do not remember having even one proper Iftar last year during the war as we were always running from one place to another for safety.
