It is yet another reminder that addiction is no joke and our culture just doesn't seem to get what it is. I was so disturbed not by her (my heart ached for her. she was a light) but by how ignorant we are as a culture and how callous to others pain we are. We laugh at it, we make jokes about it, we stalk it, we make it worse, we enable destruction for what? For money? We didn't help her or cherish her we helped a disease eat her. She was a brilliant talent locked inside a disease and the disease won!
