This is going to be a longer than normal read so if you're not interested feel free to just enjoy the photo. I'm writing this for all the people that have asked me over the years such things as how I turned my passion into a career. I never had an answer for anyone because I wasn't living according to a plan but was simply living out my passion one day at a time. Recently though looking back I think there were some key elements that played part in my success so I think I finally have a few answers. #1 I worked hard ... I literally have not taken a day off from either shooting, post processing, editing or managing my social in years. #2 I stayed true to my passion ... ever since I've been shooting and especially during the first couple years I had anywhere from friends who believed they were giving me good advice to haters writing page long essays about how I wasn't a real photographer telling me that if I wanted to be successful I needed to switch from a GoPro to a DSLR but I stayed true to my passion. #3 I kept my own identity ... the other thing I had a lot of people tell me was I needed to get a DSLR because I could be the next @clarklittle or the California version. I am the kind of person that would never want to be a designer imposter of someone even someone who's as great as Clark so I chose to be the only me ... the guy who has fun doing art with a GoPro shooting his friends and all the beautiful aspects of nature. So I guess the answer to the question is simply this ... Work hard! Stay true to your passion! Stay true to yourself! If I wavered in any of these areas I would not be where I am today #GoPro
