Our featured shot this week, the southern shoreline of Manhattan Island had long been known as the Battery. Originally housing artillery batteries protecting the southern shoreline of Manhattan, it has been a popular promenade ever since.  Although it’s a popular spot to relax on a nice day, this belies the frenzy of activity below.  Beneath this park almost 200,000 people move every day via the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel, the Battery Park Underpass, the South Ferry subway station and the Bowling Green subway station.  This dramatic shot of the park and Financial District of #NYC was taken by @nyonair’s very own Jillian O’Brien...
