Alison Stroming was born in Recife, Brazil and was adopted at the age of 4 months. She is currently professional ballerina with the Dance Theatre of Harlem. She started dancing at the age of 3 and was accepted to the School of American Ballet at the age of 9. In 2004, she attended ABT's Summer Program where she was offered a place in their year round program from Franco De-Vita, the school principal.
In 2010, Alison won the title of “Miss New York’s Outstanding Teen” and represented the state of New York at Miss America's Outstanding Teen where she won Overall Talent.
She had danced with the Alberta Ballet for two seasons and with Ballet San Jose for one before she joined DTH this season and is THE YOUNGEST dancer in the company!
