70/100: trying new things :: first #graphite doodle in my new #emiliobraga notebook using my first #clutchpencil (Prime Timber 2.0 by Penco) and sometimes L&C Hardtmuth eraser by #kohinoor, all of which I scored at my new favourite store @cwpencilenterprise that I have been raving (read: obsessively and borderline obnoxiously posting) about lately. In all seriousness though, it's one of the best shops ever. When I first started doodling around the age of five, the pencil was my number one go-to and preference. Don't get me wrong, the pen, marker, paints and crayons have captivated my heart immensely. Beyond all recognition. But the pencil. It just feels like home. I don't think it's a coincidence that I found this little store on the Lower East Side packed with dreams yet to be written and drawn during my #nycsummer adventures recently. As I sat and commenced my graphite goodies tonight in the wee hours of a new month in a new book, I started to remember some places in the Home of my heart and spirit again and realized that there's no other place like it... home.
