Been an historic few days to be in the U.S. Whilst looking for vintage Santa Monica images I found this photo. A section of Santa Monica beach was referred to as the 'Ink Well' in the early 20th century. It was one of the few areas in California where African Americans were allowed to enjoy beach access in a largely segregated society. This was normal once. How many things are 'normal' today that deserve to be challenged? Keep challenging. Kx
