Today I decided to try Starbucks orange cream cheese bagel! After a few munches I was surprised to realise that this was more the type of bagel I would have liked when I was much younger, like, 11 y.o? That was when cream cheese and orange marmelade were one of my favourite things but now...now I don't what I like anymore. ? *dun dun duuun* Bagels are definitely not on my list of favourite baked goods, due to their salty taste and lack of moisture. But you know, maybe it's not the bagel, maybe it's Starbucks who stashes those bagels in the cooled section. Maybe that poor bagel was once a warm, spongy, ring...until it got put into that cooling box.
Anyway the coarse texture of the bagel went well with the to my joy, thick layer of cream cheese that left my lips with a gloss of grease. Also the prominent notes of the orange zests bitter sweetness paired well with the earthy flavour of my iced coffee.
