65/100: trying new things :: saving the best for last, and a first. I couldn't think of a better way to wrap up our NYC adventures than to finally visit @cwpencilenterprise on the Lower East Side. I have been awaiting this moment for a couple of months now and it was better than what I'd even thought. I brought my son with me who made himself at home at the test desk and doodled in the notebook shown in the photo. Can we just pause right here for a moment and reflect on how flipping incredible that is? Test desk. Doodle book. Pencils galore. Like oh mah bloody gah. It took all my willpower to a) not utterly freak out like a crazy person upon such a notion couple with pretty pencil & notebook wonderment, and b) not hand over my entire bank account in exchange for said wonderment, though I was able to walk out with a few goodies for both my little guy and myself. The ladies running the show are super down to earth and friendly, and inspired many smiles from my son. And can we just say that the merchandising in this store is outstandingly wonderful and so aesthetically pleasing to the eye?! Not to mention organized and labeled spectacularly well. It was a dreamy doodler shopping experience to the A++ extreme. Definitely in my top five favourite stores of all time. If you find yourself in NYC or are the luckiest of all ducks and happen to live there, your life is missing out on some magically spark until you visit CW Pencil Enterprise located on 100a Forsyth Street, New York, NY. Just be forewarned that it will probably make you verklempt and you will need to buy something. But that's okay because this store only carries awesomeness and has a price range that can suit anyone's pocket. In other words, JUST GO THERE. ✏️?
