When I studied cinematography in college, I watched a lot of Italian films such as De Sica's Bicycle Thief, Fellini's La Dolce Vita, La Strada and other films which were shot at the Cinecitta studios.
It was a great experience to be able to visit, photograph, and explore these historic studios and see some of the sets of Scorsese's Gangs of New York, and HBO's Roma.

When I was there last week, there were several films in production, including a new Ben Stiller film. (Enjoyed his film, Tropic Thunder) @cinecittaworld #rome #cinecittaworld
