Today I woke up thinking about one of the first professional photo shoots I ever did- for @dazedmagazine with @timobarber. I hadn't yet moved into my first studio apartment (was too scared, living with my parents and paying rent on a place I refused to enter) and so I suggested the empty apartment as a location. I spent the night before crying and throwing up deli pastries, sure that I was unworthy/incapable of a picture anyone would want to see. But Tim did take a good picture: it captures the swollen face, the fear and uncertainty of the moment. Grey girl, grey space, double barrel curls. I feel years younger now than I did then, at 24.
