"For me this is the most confronting image in the series. Three specialist vets work on her as she is sedated. Her eyes flutter as reflex reaction to the pain. The hacking was so deep it exposed her naval cavities. The towel covering her eyes momentarily slipped up her face and the sight of her face was almost too confronting. The deep sense of shame and pride I felt were conflicting as these men removed bone tissue and infection to save her life. Be brave and share this image. Own it. Make your audiences audience listen.
