On the ground in the Amazon rainforest, Ellie met and listened to communities that live and work in nature firsthand, witnessing their vital role in safeguarding biodiversity. She urges leaders: “Indigenous Peoples and local communities hold knowledge and the answers we need, and they must be part of the solution.”
In areas like the Amazon rainforest, communities in the most vulnerable situations – who have done the least to cause the nature crisis – experience the greatest impact.
