Puppies Behind Bars dogs in training at NYSDOC Eastern Correctional Facility, Napanoch, NY • “This is the greatest morale-booster these guys have ever felt. It takes them away from the facility for a little while just to spend time with a puppy. The way they look at the puppies, it’s unexplainable. If there were no puppies here, they’d just go moping around depressed and doing what they always do, which is barely the minimum. Once a puppy enters the room, they all light up. They give unconditional love to these incarcerated individuals – it’s really amazing having these puppies in the facility. I wish all jails would have it.”
