It really is my fashion elixir! But looking at moments like Meadham Kirchhoff’s rainbow riots girls or Christopher Kane’s neon lace debut, also saddened me. Their talent dimmed by a harsh market, commercial forces and the demise in valuation of DESIGN talent as articulated by that brilliant @cathyhoryn @thecut piece Mower’s exhibition together with that piece has given me a lot to mull over as London begins What actually motivates me ? Excites me? Gives me the same feeling that many of those seminal London shows have done over the past two decades (yes I’m nearly reaching 20 years of working in this biz) And if I get that feeling about someone, will they be sustained and nurtured by the industry? Nothing to do but to hold onto hope of change.
