I had so many messages with tips on how to stop her drinking so much milk and how you had successfully transitioned your own little ones from bottles to cups. I also received messages reassuring me that it's perfectly fine for Aurelia to continue drinking from her bottle, and that I should simply follow her lead. She'll recognize when the time is right, and I'm pretty sure she won't be carrying a milk bottle at 10 (fingers crossed 😂🤞). I really sat with this feedback and I suppose societal pressures or external expectations were nudging me to believe that, at her age, Aurelia should be sipping from a cup instead of a bottle. Then it hit me, why was I rushing her to grow up so quickly? In reality, there's absolutely nothing wrong with her continuing to enjoy her bottle. I'm trusting my gut here, and the fact that she finds comfort in her bottle tells me there's no reason to change a good thing. I find more and more as a mum that sometimes the best approach is to simply go with the flow. It's easy to get caught up in the pressures of societies norms or comparing yourself to others, but as a parent the most important thing is to trust your instincts and decide what feels right for you and your baby. She's only going to be a baby for such a short time and she's turning two in just two months - I’m already crying 😭. So I want to cherish this time and if she wants to be held and have her bottle, then I intend to make the absolute most of those special moments while I still have the opportunity 💗 So here we are and she is still enjoying her three bottles a day! She's undoubtedly a milk feind 😂 but she's growing just fine, so I see no need to disrupt what's working for her. I do have one question for you, she seems to want milk more than ever right now which is resulting in her not being enthusiastic about her food. Is this a concern?
