The majority of girls my age were / are put on the pill as soon as we hit puberty / sex wanting age ( I was ) … and have become completely disconnected with our menstrual cycle… And the fact our cycles are connected with something much bigger than us. As I was. Within a year of starting the pill , I was covered in Acne , and experiencing horrible cycles. So I came off it. And then faced years of guilt/shame because I MUST be trying to get pregnant - because in my experience it’s taboo to be a young girl NOT be on the pill. Nothing to do with the fact the pill caused to feel numb, disconnected and well spotty AF. Anyway … The moon. Moves and breaths like women. The full moon to me feels is the peak of the emotions (or sometimes ovulation depending on where I’m synced) the PRE period feeling where everything feels a bit much. Then comes the release and slowly the moon swells back down. Before the dark moon. And finally the new moon - the start of a new cycle. We women are blessed to have periods. They aren’t a curse. They are our chance every month to release everything ! Connect with it. Love it. Countless women I know are now suffering from constant problems with their cycles. Pain , and heartbreak every month.
