I’m grateful to have been able to get my first dose of the moderna vaccine. I have a few different auto immune issues that I deal with , which is why it became available to me. I know my #celiac friends are scared. ANYTHING we put in our systems we must be so so very careful. Especially medication - so much hidden gluten. I get it. For me, I felt this was necessary. I’m the first to opt out for any medication. However, as a person with auto immune, a person who cares about my community, my country, the world on a hole- I chose to get the vaccine. We must remember we don’t live on this planet alone, we share this space. I felt I had to do my part in helping getting us back to life.
As I said, my symptoms were few. I did take a half of a benedryl an hour before my shot. I had numbness/tingling skin on my face and I was tired for 24 hrs. That’s it. Again, THIS IS MY EXPERIENCE. Everyone is different. For me this gluten, dairy, egg, serious allergy stricken person- I was fine.
