Our next weekly content creator, @levanterman, comes from London. Check out his story here: "None of my family or friends were into photography. In my teenage years I started to play around with compact 35mm cameras and developing my own black and white photos, but technology moved on. Digital snapping was fun, but after a few years I decided phone and compact cameras had their limitations and I wanted to go further . I bought my first DSLR 3 years ago, Canon 700D, and I've loved every moment of it.
In recent years, large @Instagram hubs inspired me, such as @BEAUTIFUL DESTINATIONS, who showcases extraordinary photos from around the globe. I would then go to individual Instagram galleries for inspiration. As we all progress in our photography, we develop our own style, building and sharing ideas with friends and each time finding new inspirations.
Like millions of others, I downloaded Instagram and posted photos of my dog and some dodgy edited holiday snaps, but soon realized there was a very large Instagram community behind this simple phone application. I went to my very first Instameet in London 2014, organized by @igersLondon. Here I met many influencers of different nationalities and walks of life, became good friends, and realized we all had one common interest- photography! Instagram has definitely changed the way I photograph. Initially I used to always think of Instagram squares, but now I'm always on the lookout for different angles for shots. More recently I enjoy compiling and editing video clips into 60 seconds videos. I carry a camera with my everywhere because some photos can't be reproduced if you miss the moment ?"
