UPDATE-The South Los Angeles Shelter is doing all they can to give this precious guy time because they know he is being networked and they love him, however he probably only has through the weekend. Shelter staff says he seems to get along with other dogs, though he hasn't been tested face to face with a dog yet. They are guessing he may be around 6 yrs old and he's being treated for a skin infection. What's happening here is a good old fashioned plea for a great rescue or responsible human to go save this beautiful boy if you're able. Older hippos always take time to place but they can and eventually will find homes with some patience and dedication to finding the perfect match.
